Physical Education – PE Gym at SMSU
The PE (Physical Education) Gym is home to the SMSU volleyball, wrestling and wheelchair basketball teams.
The facility hosted the 2010 NCAA Division II Volleyball Region Championship.
In addition, the PE Gym housed the SMSU men’s and women’s basketball teams until the completion of the R/A Facility in the summer of 1996.
During the winter and early spring, SMSU’s baseball and softball teams conduct practices in the PE Gym with batting cages that can be lowered.
The PE Gym was the first venue that SMSU’s indoor sports called home. It was one of the original buildings on site, hence its location in the center of campus. The facility seats approximately 2,000.
